Danish Cattle Federation 
The Danish Cattle Federation, Knowledge Centre for Agriculture, the Danish Agricultural Advisory Service (DAAS), works to ensure a sustainable future for cattle farming - with regard to finances, animal welfare as well as the environment. After a number of years with good finances and optimism, cattle farming is being challenged significantly. In 2008, milk prices started dropping, while the costs did not drop to the same extent.
It quickly turned out that the global financial crisis would take its toll, on cattle farming as well.
Furthermore, cattle farming is also being challenged by EU policy, where 2008 included a health check and implementation of EU directives in the home country.
We are working on ensuring that cattle farming remains competitive. Our contribution consists of knowledge and advisory service that matches the cattle farming in all areas.
We co-operate with local advisers, research institutions, companies and authorities in Denmark as well as other countries.
