The Knowledge Centre for Agriculture, the Danish Agricultural Advisory Service (DAAS), Business Development, functions both as secretariat and joint development department for the entire organisation of Danish Agricultural Advisory Service – the local advisory centres as well as the Knowledge Center.
We are organised into a number of flexible sections (DLBR Academy, Landbrugsforlaget, DLBR Management, Sale & Marketing, Support & Service) that change according to the performance of our various development and coordination tasks. The sections hire resource persons for development tasks for limited periods of time, either from the local advisory centres or from the professional departments of the Knowledge Center.
Furthermore, the department acts as secretariat for the Partnership Council. The Partnership Council is elected by all directors and heads of centre and charts the course of the entire organisation.
The partnership in the Danish Agricultural Advisory Service has to be developed into a binding, strategic partnership that increases our joint competitiveness and innovation abilities.
One of the main tasks of the Business Development department is to encourage innovation throughout the entire organisation on the basis of the clients’ needs. In this way, we prepare the ground for development of new advisory services as close to the clients as possible.
Interdisciplinarity as well as business-orientation are key words of the development department. This means that we strive to make the advice holistic and focus on services and products that create real increased value for the client. In this way, we present solutions which take into account all matters of importance to the farm in question.
