Nordic Project Fund - NOPEF 
The Nordic Project Fund (Nopef) is part of the organisation of the Nordic Council of Ministers (NCM) and Nopef operations are financed by the NCM.

The objective of the fund is to strengthen the international competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises by providing loans on favourable terms for co-financing feasibility studies for projects in countries outside EU and EFTA regions.

The projects must contribute to the internationalization of companies, promote value in the Nordic countries and have an environmental consideration. Projects shall also have a professional relevant purpose for the participating company.
Companies shall have the economic and professional resources, and the leadership, to implement the project.

Companies with less than 500 staff and less than EUR 100 million in turnover can apply. Support is given as an interest free loan for the feasibility study in order to provide a good basis for decision making.
The loan may cover up to 40% of the costs of the feasibility study, including own staff costs related to the feasibility study. 
The loan will be released as a number of payments during the implementation of the feasibility study.

In connection with internationalization that may include, for example, the establishment of a subsidiary company, joint venture or company purchase the loan will be pardoned with the finalisation of the feasibility study and submission of the final report and accounts. In connection with project export the loan will be repaid once the actual project has been completed. If the export is not implemented the loan will be pardoned.
