The B2B Programme aims at developing the private sector in a range of programme countries by supporting the establishment of long-term and mutually committing partnerships between Danish companies and companies in developing countries. The B2B Programme gives financial support to feasibility studies, establishment costs and initiation of production together with the local partner.
The Danish partner can, through the transfer of knowledge and technology, contribute to economic growth and improve living conditions for the people in the selected countries. In return the Danish partner obtains access to new markets, products and production possibilities. Demands are made on both partners. They must have sufficient resources to implement the activities and there must be a strong professional relationship with major professional expertise within the field of investment.
The B2B Programme consists of 3 phases:
- Contact Phase: Possible support up to 90% of approved costs with a maximum of DKK 100.000
- Pilot Phase: Possible support up to 75% of feasibility study costs, 90% of other costs with a maximum of DKK 1.000.000
- Project Phase: Possible support up to 90% of costs with a total maximum of DKK 5.000.000 for all 3 phases
The programme countries are those countries where the Danish Embassy can provide practical support and includes Bangladesh, Bolivia, Egypt, Ghana, Kenya, Mozambique, Nicaragua, Tanzania, Uganda, Vietnam and South Africa.
Furthermore applications can be submitted for projects in Benin, Bhutan, Burkina Faso, Mali, Nepal and Zambia. Finally B2B programmes can support environmental projects in China and Indonesia. Established networks exist in a number of these countries and International Advice can assist with further information, support, preparation of applications and other reports as required.
